my thoughts
As someone whose daily routine is checking the latest yuri, this manga is a breathe of fresh air.
At first I thought this was going to be more light hearted and comedic story, something more of "haha look at this group of cupids who are likable and interesting going around from target to target where they'll encounter a problem which will reveal more of who they are but also drive their development, and perhaps a little introspection here and there about love" which isn't totally wrong but what I didn't expect was during chapter 1. Those who've already read love bullet will probably know what I'm talking about but I won't go into detail here because I don't want to spoil the story.
I'm immediately taken aback when chapter one suddenly took a rather dark turn which caught me off guard. I was NOT expecting that at all, because it's still early on the story. After that scene I immediately knew oh... this is not going to be sunshine and rainbows... and it really sets the tone for the rest of the story.
I really did shed a tear reading this volume because WOW, the emotional scene is really well done. The author did a great job at making the reader, or at least me, to be emotionally involved and attached to the characters.
The fighting scenes are also quite good, because I often found myself confused whenever reading an action/fighting scene on a manga but love bullet did it well. I'm able to mostly follow the action, and imagine what was unfolding.
Overall, it's peak so far. The other volumes haven't got in to my country yet so I'm still waiting to buy those.
